WASHINGTON- White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer created a storm of controversy following his remarks comparing Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Adolf Hitler.
“You know, you had someone as despicable as Hitler who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons,” Mr. Spicer said, quickly adding, “Because the Holocaust never happened. Open your eyes.”
When asked to clarify his remarks, Mr. Spicer doubled-down on his assertion that the Holocaust was a “Zionist myth created to generate sympathy for the lizard people currently running Israel.”
“I think when you say sarin gas, Hitler was not using that, because Hitler didn’t do anything to hurt the Jews,” Mr. Spicer said. “The real Jews were Raptured prior to the destruction of the Jerusalem synagogue.”
Outrage spread swiftly across social media, even as Mr. Spicer continued his traditional hour-long rant regarding how Stanley Kubrick helped fake the moon landing.
“I can’t believe he would traffic in such conspiracy theories,” said investigative reporter Louise Mensch, briefly adjusting her tinfoil hat to ensure no Kremlin agents could read her mind. “There’s just nothing to support any of what he’s saying.”
Others on social media agreed, including former Trump supporter and leader of the alt-right Richard Spencer.
At press time Sean Spicer had clarified his stance, saying, “Look, I’m not saying that Hitler was a good guy. He was just misunderstood very much by the modern false Jew media.”
